DESCRIPTION:The Carolinas Concrete Paving Association (CCPA) and Carolinas Ready Mixed Concrete Association (CRMCA) in partnership with the NCDOT (Divisions 13 and 14) are pleased to offer a 4-part series of 1-hour webinars during the month of June.  The sessions require individual registration and will be presented by industry and agency experts in their respective fields. \n\n\n\nThis session "Transverse Joint Construction & Dowel Bar Placement" will take a closer look at the importance of dowels (e.g. load transfer) within a concrete pavement system. A review of some of the key issues\, common misconceptions and how to ensure the dowels are positioned where they are needed to provide the desired benefit. Development and application of dowel alignment specifications will be presented.
